EMBFP (EVERY MAN'S BATTLE FOR PURITY)

It is a fact that men are particularly vulnerable to temptation in the area of their sexuality. Because that is true, Every Man's Battle For Purity was developed specifically with men in mind. It is a four-stage, 29-week strategy that moves a man seamlessly from the desire to become sexually pure to learning the skills and changes needed to accomplish purity to becoming and maintaining sexual purity for a lifetime. Does it work? Rigorous testing both pre- and post-ministry indicate that 92% of the men who start become significantly more sexually pure and those who are married report markedly increased marital satisfaction

.

Stage 1 - The Battle
The Battle is a half-day event in a local church attended by a large group of men, dressed in camouflage shirts and dog tags, who come ready to go to war for their sexual purity. The purpose of The Battle is to call men to commit themselves to sexual purity. Designed specifically with men in mind, The Battle features a fast-paced combination of speakers with short, powerful messages, inspiring testimonies of men and couples who have struggled with sexual purity but found victory in Jesus Christ, pulse-pounding music, insightful video clips, and a too-close-to-home drama. The Battle concludes with a call to the Cross of Jesus Christ and the chance for men to pray with a chaplain and plant a white flag of surrender at the foot of the Cross on purity hill. Do men become sexually pure at The Battle? No. Men cannot become sexually pure at a half-day event. It takes more time and understanding than a half-day event permits. Men need to learn the skills, gain the accountability, and have the Lord transform their hearts to become pure. What is accomplished at The Battle is men commit themselves to desire sexual purity. The Battle is a catalytic event calling men to come to the Cross where the power to become pure is unleashed. The upcoming Battles are:

Stage 2 - Purity Boot Camp
Purity Boot Camp is a rigorous five-day stage calling men to arise early for five consecutive mornings. Building on the momentum gained at The Battle, Purity Boot Camp is held in the church that hosted The Battle. Because men have grown undisciplined in their sexual thinking and behavior, Purity Boot Camp trains men to live a disciplined life, the kind of life necessary for sexual purity and freedom. Led by veteran lieutenants, Purity Boot Camp begins at 6:00 a.m. promptly and concludes at 7:30 a.m. promptly. Open to men who have attended The Battle, Purity Boot Camp builds on what men have learned at The Battle by teaching them to count the cost of becoming sexually pure. With anything worthwhile there is a cost. That is also the case with sexual purity. Men discover what their sexual sin has cost them in intimacy and trust with their wives and girlfriends, in respect as models and leaders of their children, in finances, in health, and much more. At Purity Boot Camp, men learn the role neuro-chemistry plays in sexual addiction. Is Purity Boot Camp necessary? Absolutely! After four years of field testing each stage of Every Man’s Battle For Purity has proven necessary. To leave out any of the four stages deprives a man of important truth and marginalizes his path to sexual purity.

Stage 3 - Purity Platoon
The most critical stage for men to become sexually pure is the Purity Platoon. Led by veteran platoon sergeants, the Purity Platoon is a small group of 12 men who meet for two hours weekly for 16 weeks. Something miraculous happens to men when they meet continually for 16 consecutive weeks! They begin to trust one another and they find community. In the confidentiality and safety of the Purity Platoon, men tell their stories and find a higher level of accountability than they have ever known in their lives. They learn the skills necessary to live in sexual purity for a lifetime. They encounter the Lord who promises to “set the captives free.” The Lord Jesus Christ powerfully transforms their hearts as they humbly repent and submit themselves to Him. Can the platoon make a man sexually pure who doesn’t want to be pure? No. There is no magical power in the Purity Platoon nor will the Purity Platoon force any man to become sexually pure. Every man in the platoon must want to be pure and willingly sacrifice to achieve it. The Purity Platoon concludes with a powerful Awards Breakfast in which men are awarded specially-minted bronze purity medallions to recognize their sacrifice. Patterned after the medallions awarded to men and women in the special forces of the military, purity medallions are earned never given.

Stage 4 - Maturity Platoon
With a heavy emphasis on sexual purity for the past 17 weeks, the focus of Maturity Platoon shifts for 12 weeks from sexual purity to spiritual maturity. Men remain in the same platoon they were in during Purity Platoon. In the Maturity Platoon, men learn how to be a godly man, a godly husband, and a godly father. They learn how to share the story of their salvation with others, discover their spiritual gifts and ministry, begin tithing and practicing financial stewardship, and learn the significance of membership and accountability to a local church. Maturity Platoon is a great transition stage into a local church men’s ministry. What happens to men once they complete Maturity Platoon? Just like the military, when men have completed active duty, they are discharged and join the reserves. In the reserves, men stay together with their platoon for life meeting monthly for check in and accountability.
